Barangay Suclema
IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY
The Barangay Suclema, formerly known as Upper Taway, got its name changed in 1960. Suclema was derived from a combination of names prominent in the Municipality [of Ipil] during that time, namely:
SUCGANG, CLEMENIA, AND MAMOGAY.
Vision - Mission
Barangay Suclema is a progressive and environment-friendly community with healthy and peace-loving constituents who participated in local government and will continue its progress through livelihood programs.
The Barangay Officials
The Barangay Officials of Suclema serve the Barangay as per terms and provisions provided for by Republic Act No. 7160 or the Local Government Code of 1991 and other pertinent laws. They are an extension of the Municipality on a smaller scale- to speak- to cater to the community's needs.
The Barangay Officials are composed of the Punong Barangay, Seven (7) Sangguniang Barangay Members, the Sangguniang Barangay Chairman, a Barangay Secretary, and a Barangay Treasurer.
There is also a Lupong Tagapamayapa, composed of the Punong Barangay as chairman and ten(10) to twenty (20) members; the main body involved in the arbitration of Barangay cases or concerns before reaching higher courts such as the Municipal Circuit Trial Court.
