VISION
The ADZU-SOM envisions a medical school whose
curriculum combines competency and problem-based
instruction with experiential learning in the community,
responsive to the changing patterns of health care
development and the needs of the communities, sensitive
to the social and cultural realities of Western Mindanao
and beyond, and imbued with the belief that we exist not
only for ourselves but also for others.
MISSION
The School of Medicine exists to help provide
solutions to the health problems of the people and
communities of Western Mindanao and beyond; therefore, it will to strive to produce competent graduates who, in the practice of their medical profession, are self-directing physicians, effective health administrators, health researchers, and committed medical teachers.
1st Community Exposure
MARCH 24 - APRIL 21, 2022
With the observance of the Covid-19 Protocol, we were carefully deployed to our assigned Community in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, at the end of the 1st Semester of our 1st year in the Medical School. To complete our four-week exposure, the group was divided into 3 pairs going to the community weekly; and at the last week, our boys decided to stay the two-week duration in a trio.
3rd Community Exposure
February 15 - March 15, 2023
In our most recent exposure, only the six of us were left. Though we were with heavy hearts to lose one of our most valued member, our leader; our journey still must continue. In all our activities, our "master" is always in our hearts and mind. This one's for you, Kuya! ❤︎
